Your Excellency Mr Ban Ki-Moon, distinguished guests, Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, Chairman of GFHS, Former UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative. Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. My name is Stella Shiu, Chairman of SAM WA GROUP and ECPC SINO-UK ECONOMIC & CULTURE PROMOTION CENTRE. It is an honour to be invited to the 10th Global Forum on Human Settlements held here at the Golden Hall of the United Nations. It is a pleasure to meet the government leaders, business elite, leading academics and representatives of international organisations from all parts of the world! I am proud and excited to meet you all because I knew at a much younger age that this is a platform for the greatest of the great. Ladies and gentlemen, dear leaders and friends, I love you all! Before I set off today, I asked my mum what she thought brought me this opportunity. My mum said it was this great era of peace, a luxury to the people of my grandparents’ generation who lived their lives surrounded by wars and conflicts. Established 70 years ago, the United Nations has guided people out of the war, paving the way for a new world of connectivity and co-operation in a global context. This new world has been a dream for people from all parts of the world, and has been a dream for the Chinese people in particular. I was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu, a city with a rich history located at the mouth of the Yangtze River. I remain grateful to those who gave their lives in the cause of peace to make China the peaceful country it is today. I remain grateful to the Great Economic Reform that created the possibility for my family to settle in Hong Kong during the early days of the Reform. The competitive environment of the city shaped my unyielding spirit. When I was a child, the stories of the great female leaders in Chinese history, such as Hua Mu Lan and Mu Gui Ying, inspired me and taught me that Chinese women are not fated to subordination, and that we bear more responsibilities to the world than just being good wives and good mothers. Women can do things as well as men can, if not better, and can contribute to the development of human society using their talent and wisdom! This was my childhood dream and faith. After leaving secondary school, I went to the United Kingdom for further studies. I was fascinated by the undisturbed natural environment there and looked forward to China becoming a more eco-friendly country one day. After graduation, I visited and traded with 49 countries across Europe, Americas, Middle East and Asia Countries. I have been sticking to the “water and mountain” principles as practised by the great Chinese philosopher Laozi – to be tolerant and pure “like water” as he adapted himself to the outer environment, and to be determined and prudent “like mountains” as he tackled real-life problems. Along the journey, I have suffered much pain. There have been times when I was betrayed by friends, cheated by people or maliciously attacked by media, but I have always kept my head up and stayed strong. Over time, people recognised my integrity and this has opened up business opportunities for me. In 2007, I acquired the exclusive mining right to a 640 Hacters (10,000-mu) mining site in southern Philippines. This marked a crucial step in realising my Chinese dream. Since 2010, I have been working with the United Kingdom planning to develop with 5 million square meters Sam Wa ITC CHINA-EUROPE International Data & Logistics Centre in the heart of the Wirral and Liverpool Region projects in North West England. When this project is completed, it will not only act as a strong catalyst for strengthening the commercial bond between China and Europe, but will also make a positive impact on the living environment for the local people. I am also grateful to the friends from Wudalianchi of China, North Caucasus of Russia and Évian of France. The trust and support they provided allowed me to host the inaugural World’s Top Three Cold Spring International Forum. This is a new field that we are exploring now in terms of improving human living environments. The focus of the Sam Wa Group’s development strategy is shifting from mass production to sector diversification to harness cutting-edge technologies. While we seek to continue expanding current business activities such as international trading, human living environment improvement and mining related activities, we have embarked on 3D internet technologies; engaged in filming, media, culture and the development of some of the world’s leading technologies. Sam Wa’s vision is to continue its expansion and to provide services in all parts of the world and, in particular, to make a positive impact to the improvement of the world’s human living environment and to the protection of women’s and children’s rights. The poem Youth written by the German American poet Samuel Ullman 70 years ago is widely known in the United States, Japan and many other countries. I have read it many times. The important view set out in this poem is that “youth is a state of mind, a quality of the imagination, a vigour of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease.” According to this view, I am still very young. I hope to learn from the great leaders, entrepreneurs and friends as a little sister would do, to gain strength and courage to chase my dreams in the fields of women rights and human living environments, and to stay young forever! Under the strong leadership of the United Nations and the governments of individual nations, I believe we will see more successful businesswomen making greater contribution to the cause of peace and global economic development! Let’s join forces and together promote peaceful global development and create better human living environments for the world! May all our dreams come true and all visions become reality! I am sure they will! LAST, LET'S JOIN FORCES AND TOGETHER PROMOTE PEACEFUL GLOBAL DEVELOPMENTS AND CREAT BEETER HUMAN LIVING ENVIROMENTS FOR THE WORLD!

尊敬的联合国潘基文秘书长：

尊敬的联合国前副秘书长暨高级代表、全球人居环境论坛（GFHS）主席安瓦尔.乔杜里大使、

尊敬的各国先生们，女士们，朋友们：

大家下午好！ 我是森华集团董事局主席邵瀚萱、ECPC 英中经济文化促进会会长。

在我们伟大的联合国诞生70周年的时候，我来到联合国金色大厅，参加第十届全球人居环境暨十周年庆典盛会，与世界各国出类拔萃的领导、企业家、专家学者和国际组织负责人欢聚一堂，深感荣幸！在我很小的时候，我就知道，汇聚在联合国的人都是世界顶尖人才，也是我心中崇高而伟大的人。今天，见到我心中崇高而伟大的人，我内心无比地激动和高兴。也感到自豪和骄傲！尊敬的领导、女士们、先生们、朋友们，我爱您！

临来时，我问我的妈妈，我为什么会有这个机遇呢？妈妈说，是你赶上了一个好的时代。我一想，是啊！我的祖辈生活在那个战乱和纷争的年代，是70年前成立的联合国，努力引导人民制止战争，争取和平，走向世界互通互联和共利共赢的道路，这是世界人的梦，更是中国人的梦。我岀生在中国长江下游的江苏常州。可以说，是小桥流水的家乡。我特别感谢中国的革命先烈，浴血奋战，使中国走向和平统一。特别感谢中国的改革开放政策，使我们家有机会在改革开放之初就搬到了香港。在这个充满竞争的城市使我形成了不甘示弱的性格。在我童年时代，我从中国优秀传统文化书籍中，得知中国优秀历史巾帼英雄花木兰女扮男装替父亲从军，穆桂英挂帅出征战场的动人故事。从而，深深感受到中国女人并不是只相夫教子、做贤妻良母。也能担负起历史的重任，展示自已的才华和智慧。为社会的进步和经济的发展作出应有的贡献。男人能做好的事，女人也能做好，有时比男人做得更好！这也是我少年时代的梦想和信念。高中毕业后，我到英国留学，这里优美的人居环境，特别是注重人与自然和谐发展的特点，使我爱上了这片土地，也期待我的祖国人居环境，也是这样的和谐美好。毕业后，我曾经到了欧洲、美国，南美洲、中东国家、亚洲各国等49个国家从事贸易，在与各国朋友的交往中，我始终坚守中国古代一个白胡子老头，著名思想家老子的话，叫做：做人如水，做事如山。意思是人一方面要能适应环境，就像水一样能包容万物，本身却又非常的纯静。另一方面又要踏实做事，像山一样稳重，给人以信任。在这个过程中，我吃过苦头，也经受了许多磨难。我被朋友出卖过，也被同行欺诈过，还被媒体恶炒过。但是我没有低头，也没有放弃，因为没有崎岖坎坷不叫攀登，没有痛苦烦恼不叫人生。实际生活中我感悟到，不仅“天道酬勤”，而且“地道酬善”，“人道酬诚”，“商道酬信”，“业道酬精”。在长期的交往中，不断有朋友们都知道我是一个“诚实的傻丫头”，“认真的小妹妹”，所以也不断有朋友乐意和我合作。

感恩菲律宾那位老妈妈，是她在那2007年，把菲律宾南部一万亩矿山的开釆权交给了我，丰富的矿藏使我的中国梦有了坚实的平台。从2010年开始，我又和英国合作，在英国西北部的威拉尔-利物浦水域中心地带，规划建设500 万平方米（8000亩）土地的【森华ITC 中国---欧盟 国际数据物流中心项目】，平台建成后，不仅会对中国和欧洲的经贸发展会带来勃勃生机，对两地人民人居环境的改善也有非常积极的作用。我也感谢中国五大连池和俄罗斯北高加索与法国依云市长的朋友们，是他们相信我，让我成功主办了世界上首届世界三大冷矿泉国际论坛，开拓了为人类人居环境做贡献的新领域。

现在，我将森华集团从规模化走向多元化和世界尖端科技化。在从事国际贸易、人居环境建设和矿石开采、进口、冶炼的基础上，再开发互联网3D网店，发展影视传媒，文化产业和世界尖端科学技术。使森华集团更进一步发展壮大，走向世界各地，广交世界朋友，为世界各国人民服务。尤其在世界人居环境建设和保护妇女儿童合法权益方面要发挥积极作用。向世界人民展示我森华集团的风采！德裔美籍人塞缪尔.厄尔曼七十多年前写的一篇《年轻》的短文，无数的美国人，日本人和其他各国的人们很熟悉，我也读过多遍。这篇短文的重要观点是说：年轻，是心灵中的一种状态，是头脑中的一个意念，是理性思维中的创造力，是情感活动中的一股勃勃的朝气，是人生春色深处的一缕东风。年轻，意味着甘愿放弃温馨浪漫的爱情去闯荡生活，意味着超越羞涩、怯懦和欲望的胆识与气质。按照这篇文章的思想，我自己觉得还非常年轻。在这个茫茫商海中的我，用中国有一句俗话说，“黃牛走进象群里一一比比还是小弟弟。那么我当然就是小妹妹啦！我要以小妹的心态向我心中崇高而伟大的领导、企业家、朋友学习，在女性和人居环境领域中，勇于有梦，敢于追梦，勤于圆梦，永远年轻！我相信，在联合国和各国政府的正确领导下，不久的将来，世界各国将会涌现出一批又一批优秀女企业家，为世界的和平，经济的飞速发展作出更大贡献！我们的美好梦想和理想能够实现！一定能够实现！让我们为世界的和平发展与全球人居环境而共同奋进！！！！！
